My Work

I have devoted my career to working with first-generation college bound students via the federal Trio programs of Upward Bound, Educational Talent Search and Gear Up. 

I currently serve as the Chief Executive Officer for the non-profit agency College Option Inc.

• Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis
• Master’s of Science degree in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento

I worked for the University of California, Davis, in the field of educational equity and access for over 30 years. 

• 2003 I became the founding Executive Director of the College OPTIONS Program. 
• 2011 Director of the College Opportunities Department, under the umbrella of the UC Davis Division of Student Affairs.
